Baby Will. . .

So, I need to write down some of the things that Baby Will says, and how he says them before it is too late!!!

He has this funny little way of saying 'basketball' that sound a bit like 'I'm available'!  We laugh every time he says it and ask him if he's available?  He responds 'ya! I'm abaliable!!'  Poor little kid, being used by his parents. . .

He says pummy for tummy. . .so cute, and can say and point to most of his body parts.

I've already mentioned his undying affection for Julie.  If he sees her or even her car, he gets so excited and squeals "Yay!!  Doo-ee home!!!" or "Doo-ee car!!!"

He's really good at repeating anything you ask him to, which makes aunts and uncles, and even strangers really happy when he'll attempt to say their name.  He even got 'Beverly' out pretty well last night at family dinner!

He already knows 'iPad' and 'anwy bode' (angry birds), and he'll say 'fwog, fwog, fwog' over and over when he wants to watch Leapfrogs Letter Factory on my iPad.

There's a million more, but thats all for now. . .

Now this first picture is already out of date, because we've built the wall to complete the entry and all that electrical stuff isn't just hanging down anymore, but here are 2 pictures of some of the things we've been working on!!!

We did the wainscoting in the entry and down the hallway, as well as creating, building, and putting up new casings around the door frames.  We've actually just put in 5 panel doors as well.  They still need to be painted, but you can imagine.

Here's the living room window, with its new framing as well as the wainscot under the window.  You can see the floor pretty well in both of these pictures too.  If you go back a few months to the post about the awesome curtains that were here when we moved in, that is this same window.

The Park

Here's some fun pictures Jared took at the park a month ago.

So, last week we are driving down the road and Cohen is singing his school song. . ."Hail to the Red and Blue. We'll always fight and cheer you!". . .something along those lines.  I was actually really impressed that he knew the whole thing and was just enjoying listening to him sing.  There's a bit of a pause and he says,

"Mom, what does hell mean?"

As far as I'm concerned this question has come out of left field, so when I don't answer right away he keeps going:

"I don't mean hell like 'What the hell?'  I mean hell like 'Hell to the Red and Blue'."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!  Now, I don't know where he learned the term 'What the hell?', but I was still laughing pretty hard!!!

It took me a minute to convince him that the word was HAIL, and not HELL, but I think he got it. . .I think. . .

Here are some more puppy pics

The puppies. . .

So, I avoided writing about this a little bit because it was sad.  But now, we are about to be rid of these ridiculously cute little things and I figured I'd better take some pictures and post them so we don't forget!!!

So, without divulging all of the disgusting details of a doggie-birth, let me just say that Riley had 6 puppies on Valentines Day, but that 4 of them were stillborn.  Well, in the long story, one of them was not born until the next day, but anyways. . .we've had these two little mongrels with us for the last 7 1/2 weeks and we're gonna miss them when they are gone!!  Only having 2 puppies makes you bond with them more than when you are dealing with a whole litter.

Good Momma
This is Grizz.  The boys originally named him Bolt, but Jared was considering keeping him for a while, so he chose a name that we could actually live with, just in case the little bugger stayed around!   He's got a lot of energy, and you can tell he is very smart and will be a great dog.

This is Pretty.  You heard me.  Her name is Pretty.  Before they were even born, we were talking about puppy names with the kids, and they decided that a good name for a girl would be Pretty.  And since she was the only girl we got, that was her name!!  Ha!  And yes, she's got a flipper paw.  She doesn't let it hold her back though!  She hobbles along on those 3 legs like a champ, and she beats her brother more often than not when they are wrestling!  She is such a little lover, always cuddling and giving puppy breath kisses.  She is going to steal the hearts of the family who takes her (we've already got a home for her. . .they should be picking her up tomorrow morning.)

Cohen wanted to make sure we took his picture with the puppies so he doesn't forget them.  They both love the puppies a lot and have spent a lot of time playing with them and loving them.

Will is TWO!!!!

Poor, sad little 3rd child. . .turning 2 for you is just not any sort of priority to your dear ol' mom like it was for your older brothers.  Not a single gift.  You were lucky to get cupcakes!!!

You hear of the demise of your caring as a mother for things like this, and you think 'that will never happen to me!  I will always care and put great thought and effort into my children's birthdays!'. . .oh vain and foolish woman!!  Nevertheless, William is such a great joy and such a great baby!  I guess he's not really a baby anymore, now is he?  He is talking so much, which compared to Evan (sorry Evan), is such a RELIEF!!!!  A child who can communicate!!!  It's pretty much awesome.  Anyhow, Will has his daddy and also his Aunt Julie wrapped around his little finger.  He loves Julie. . .mmmmm. . . maybe more than he loves me.  No joke.  If she's here and he knows it, he wants to be with her.  If she is up here and needs to run downstairs for one little thing, he cannot bear to let her out of his sight and has to go with her!!  She loves it, except for the fact that he's pretty heavy now, and carrying him back up 2 flights of stairs is exhausting!  Now, me personally, I just let him sit at the bottom of the stairs and throw a fit before he crawls himself back up them, but not Julie.  Julie suckers into his begging and carries the little manipulator all the way back up the stairs!  I guess I can see why he likes her more than he likes me. . .oh well. . .

Happy Birthday Baby!!!

I did NOT make this amazing cupcake.  His nursery leaders brought it over. . .my sad little creations pale in comparison to the awesomeness of this clown cupcake, that before it was devoured, had more frosting on top than cupcake on bottom.

CHEESE!!!!

Here are the cupcakes I made.  Pathetic in comparison, right?  But they were really yummy!  Will is 'leading the music' as we sing Happy Birthday to him in this picture!

Blowing out the candles. . . he actually did it all by himself!

Will's favorite thing right now is a 'baltheball'. . .thats about how he says it.  So cute!

Look at that face!!!!  So beautiful.
