Things We're Thankful For

Cohen is learning how to pray.  Every night for dinner, we ask him if he wants to say the prayer, and if he does then Jared helps him.  It goes a little like this:

J:Dear
C: Dear
J: Heavenly
C: Helny
J: Father
C: Faher
J: Please
C: Peez
. . .you get the idea.  Also, Jared loves gummy worms, and we've had them around the house lately and Cohen just calls them 'worms.'  Tonight at Family Home Evening, we were giving Cohen a gummy worm each time he answered a question correctly.
Jared: Who is this?
Cohen: Jesus.
and he gets a gummy worm. . .
Jared: Does Jesus love you?
Mommy: (whispering) say yes.
Cohen: Yes.
and he gets a gummy worm. . .good system if you are Cohen, right?  So we get around to saying the closing prayer and he is asking for another 'worm.'  Jared tells him he can have one after the prayer.  Hence, the closing prayer going a little like this. . .
J: Dear
C: Dear
J: Heavenly
C: Heanly
J: Father
C: Faher
J: Thank you
C: Dee doo
J: For
C: For
J: Jesus
C: Worms
Thank you for Worms!!!  And he really is thankful for gummy worms, so at least we know he is understanding prayer, right?!

This is a thank you to Jared for leaving a comment on my blog. He is right, it is fun to see another Jared Haddock who is anxiously engaged in the gospel. You have a beautiful family and a great blog!
